Entrance Exam

The entrance exam for candidates to postgraduate studies, in the Zoology area, takes place every six months, for the Masters, Doctorate and Direct Doctorate courses, governed by a notice published in the Official Gazette of the State of São Paulo. When we have the dates defined we also launch the Public Admission for the Examination of Entry in Force here.

About the English Language Proficiency Certificate

Among the English language proficiency certificates accepted for enrollment in the PPG-Zoologia entrance exam, we have the one offered by the Interdepartmental Language Center (CIL) at FFLCH/USP. It is necessary that the result of the English test has already been disclosed for the candidate to be able to enroll in the PPG-Zoologia entrance exam (the results of the CIL test are published by the CPG at this link: https: //pos.ib.usp.br/ingresso/resultado-proficiencia-cl-fflch-usp.html).

The CIL offers four tests per year to the six IB-USP graduate programs (eg, in 2021, the tests took place in March, May, August and October). At PPG-Zoologia, we only have two entrance exams per year (usually in April and October). Thus, we cannot match our entries with all the tests offered by CIL. So, be aware of the dates and plan ahead if you are interested in taking the CIL exam to register for the PPG-Zoology exam. Also note that we accept several other English proficiency exams (check the current public notice), including, for example, the one from the União Cultural Brasil-Estados Unidos, which is applied twice a week.
